Official launch of the world’s first non-microplastics glitter!
Well, after years of planning, the big day is finally here.
Today, Monday, March 25th 2019 we are delighted to announce that we have launched the world’s first non-microplastics glitter*, a ground breaking acheivment. The product, Cosmetic Bioglitter® PURE, is based on natural materials, is designed to biodegradable and decomposes quickly and safely, like a leaf, in the natural environment.
It not only meets the proposed EU microplastic legislation*, it’s also certified OK Biodegradable WATER by TÜV, which means it is guaranteed to biodegrade in a natural, freshwater environment, by TÜV Austria.
A huge, huge step forward. We have created Cosmetic Bioglitter® PURE to help tackle the issue of microplastic pollution caused by plastic glitter.

Cosmetic Bioglitter® PURE not only sets a new environmental glitter standard, it is extremely low in heavy metals and is aluminium free. This makes it very friendly on the skin and also compliant with cosmetic legislation for use on the lips in America. Finally, it also offers a look never seen before, an non-metallic ‘soft focus / opalescent’ glitter effect.
And, to help kick start its launch, the product is also award winning! Cosmetic Bioglitter® PURE has recently won two industry awards including gold award for innovation at ‘in-cosmetics global’ in 2018 and this year the ‘Green and Sustainable’ award at one of Asia’s most prestigious personal care trade shows, PCHi.
